Starting July 2025, state employees enrolled in State Health Benefits will pay no more than 20% of the bi-weekly premium costs. The State of New Mexico is also offering extra premium help through the State Employee Premium Assistance (SEPA) program. SEPA helps lower the cost of health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible state employees. Please click on the following guide and application form for more details.
For July 1st, 2025 SEPA Applications may be submitted within 31 days of date of hire. If you are not a new hire, you will be able to apply during the next SEPA special enrollment period (date to be announced).
